Flamasil
Sunday, November 8th, 2009
Flamasil is an all natural herbal blend compiled of organically grown, pharmaceutical grade ingredients. Each herb has a very important job to perform and the combination of their work within the body set out to produce the results you have been looking for. More importantly this is achieved naturally and safely without the burden of unwanted side effects accompanied by most modern medicine choices. By enhancing blood flow and blood purification, stimulating new liver cell growth, protecting the liver from toxins, increasing kidney filtration and excretion, aiding in the production of bile, and boosting the digestive and immune systems we are addressing all of the areas involved in uric acid control and the proper use of such a potent and necessary antioxidant in the body. Flamasil is an effective solution to a very painful problem. Clinical study highlights on a few of our key ingredients : Turmeric BCM-95 (Super Bio-Curcumin) and its chemicals known as curcuminoids have been studied and used as methods of fighting cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, and even reverse the processes into the development of Alzheimer’s disease. Continued research of BCM-95 is finding new practical applications for almost every organ function in the body making it very successful and important for supplementation. One of Curcumin’s most important abilities is to inhibit a potent inducer of chronic inflammation. NF-kB (nuclear factor-kappa B) is a protein responsible for activating inflammatory responses in the body. The overactivity of this protein is responsible for rendering painful attacks on the body itself such as one we are specifically targeting for discussion and resolution, the dreadful Gout. OPC Grape Seed and Pine Bark Extracts can provide great support for the joints aiding to improve flexibility and protect the joint tissue. They have been shown to help reduce inflammation and enhance the immune system all important to Gout healing and
Endometriosis And Your Immune System A Surprising Link
Sunday, November 8th, 2009
Controlling endometriosis with hormone therapy may be a good idea for some women, as the female sex hormone estrogen certainly fuels endometriosis symptoms. That being said, some research is also suggesting that estrogen may not be the only problem. Some theories suggest that due to the fact that certain changes can be present in the immune system cells in endometriosis sufferers, endometriosis may be caused by a malfunctioning immune system.
Almost all women experience retrograde menstruation. This is when endometrial tissue moves backwards into the abdomen via the fallopian tubes during menstruation. However, despite this fact, usually less than 10% of menstruating women develop endometriosis. This has lead many researchers to believe the theory that endometriosis is actually caused by a faulty immune system that allows endometriosis to develop outside the uterus following retrograde menstruation.
Those who think a malfunctioning immune system may be the cause of endometriosis, believe that the Immune System fails to detect and eliminate endometrial tissue developing outside the uterus. Unlike the immune system of the average women – which finds and destroys the endometrial tissue caused by retrograde menstruation – the immune system of women with endometriosis appears to be less active, and even defective, when it comes to the removal of these cells.
Researchers are not exactly sure why this happens. Some believe that women with endometriosis have an insufficient amount of NK (natural killer) cells, which are the part of the immune system responsible for detecting foreign invaders. Without these NK cells, the immune system is weakened and may not be able to stop or recognize endometrial tissue, allowing it to invade and develop.
Others believe that the immune system of endometriosis sufferers may already be overwhelmed in dealing with other problems such as allergies or infections. Still, some think that perhaps the burden of actually fighting the development of endometriosis, overstresses the immune system making it less effective in managing the disorder.
Certain research is also considering the link between autoimmune disorders and endometriosis. Autoimmune disorders are a malfunctioning of the immune system that causes the body to attack its own tissue. Recent studies have revealed that immune system disorders are more common among women with endometriosis than those without the condition.
Researchers are discovering through studies that women with endometriosis are more likely to have:

How do I strengthen my immune system after I have taken a course of antibiotics?
Sunday, November 8th, 2009I just want to know how to get my Immune System strong again after I finished a course of antibiotics. By the way, I am also taking probiotics with the antibiotics I am on. So, how do you strengthen the immune system after you are done with a short-term course of antibiotics?
Make sure you are eating a well balanced diet (Increase your fruits and veggies the more colorful the better), are well hydrated with water, get plenty of rest, and take a multivitamin daily. Vit. C is well known for boosting immunity however I have not read any conclusive proof that it increases immunity. It does aid in tissue repair though among other things like zinc, protein and Iron so it won’t hurt to take a little extra Vit. C. I would suggest you try to limit any stress in your life if possible. Exercise everyday for 30 minutes if you feel up to it. You may also want to eat some yogurt to prevent yeast infection because that is a common side effect after antibiotics. Try to keep that area dry to prevent growth and avoid tight clothing. Sorry if that was a bit too much info., but I figured that is something you should be aware of as well.
What are some ways to boost my immune system for this cold and flu season?
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009It seems that every year I get at least 3 or 4 colds/sinus infections and the flu at least a couple of times and it seems that it just gets worse every year. I pretty much catch any virus thats going around and frankly I’m getting tired of it. I’m looking for ways that I can boost my immune system so I don’t get sick this cold and flu season. I plan on getting a flu shot as well. Does anyone know of some ways I can boost my immune system? I was thinking maybe of making like a smoothie or shake with several ingredients that help boost the immune system? Any ideas would be appreciated!
Try taking AirBorne (a supplement that boosts your immune system) and try to steer clear of people that exhibit symptoms of cold/flu.
Also you might want to try increasing your daily intake of vitamins, especially Vitamin C which can be found in orange juice and other fruits/juices. As you mentioned, smoothies can do wonders for your immune system, given they contain proper ingredients. Tropicana has a delicious brand of smoothies that are high in Vitamins and nutrients that help to safeguard you against bacteria/other germs.
Make sure you get plenty of rest each night, otherwise it significantly lowers your immune system’s ability to fight off disease and other air-borne germs.
Definitely wash your hands a lot as well, and try to not touch the door handles in public bathrooms – this is a huge germ collector. Hope this was helpful, good luck!

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009Insightful Examination of Cancer Fighting Immune System Supplements
Sunday, August 16th, 2009
If you’re fighting cancer and are curious about immune system supplements, both clinical and natural, keep reading for an overview of some of the most popular methods.
BRMs (Biologic Response Modifiers)
Biologic response modifiers are substances that alter the response of specific elements of the immune system to enhance, restore, or direct the immune defenses of the body. By definition, biologic response modifiers include several fields of research – immunotherapies, vaccines, and immune-system-enhancing agents. These types of therapies are often called biologic therapies.
The most commonly used type of biologic response modifiers is interferon. Interferon is a protein molecule that can help fight off certain diseases, like cancer. However, for treatment purposes, synthetic interferon is created in a lab and then administered to the patient to supplement the immune system. Interferon won’t cure cancer, but it will improve life spans and help control the disease.
Vitamin Supplements
There are mountains of studies that prove certain foods and Vitamins are critical immune system supplements and help to restore the body after cancer while also preventing it.
One of the most infamous studies related to vitamin consumption and cancer survival rates was the Vitamin C study conducted by Linus Pauling. Pauling started his experiment with thousands of cancer patients, all of whom had similar cancer types and were around the same age.
Out of these patients, Pauling put a hundred of them on a daily program of high Vitamin C doses. The remainder received no Vitamin C. In the end, the participants consuming large amounts of Vitamin C lived significantly longer than the untreated patients.
Vitamin C is a popular example and a popular method because it has few drawbacks. Vitamin C isn’t toxic in large amounts and is water soluble. That means it passes through the body quickly and excess amounts are passed through and eliminated. Essentially, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
Diet
Diet all by itself won’t cure cancer, but it can help slow it down, improve recovery and possibly prevent it. Nutrition is a major part of how well your body recovers after cancer, the strength of your immune system and how you deal with cancer and the cancer treatments.
One example of eating for the benefit of the immune system is all-organic diets, which are growing in popularity. Organic foods are foods that are all natural, have not been irradiated and have no chemical additives. For people trying to heal cancer, chemical additives are thought to be just one more foreign substance that can stress the body’s system.
The reasoning behind this theory is that eliminating anything that stresses the body will enable the immune system to spend more of its energy on fighting cancer while simultaneously providing immune system supplements.
There is unfortunately today no known sure fire means of either preventing cancer or healing it in individuals already afflicted. However, a combination of traditional medical approaches plus alternative strategies that have a degree of verifiable success is a great tactic to countering the effects of a malignancy and simultaneously building up the immune system.
